The design features engineering and build that are a cross of racing industrial style and forgotten antique design from a galaxy long ago and far away. CONSTRUCTION/CUSTOMIZATION

All my hilts are designed with a steel threaded rod running down the middle for structural stability as well as working with the emitter/pommel(each have a sunken steel bolt) to combine the unit. The ends twist on, allowing the owner to customize the order of the components, their orientation and swap in new parts at any time down the road.

The following is a fictional break down of the physical features of the hilt. These are the features I envisioned while I was designing it. Sadly the hilt will not actually produce a cutting blade and is made of resin, not metal.)

THE GOODS

Emitter/Shield- This design sports a two-part array. The outer shielding is an ultra light assembly with thermal dissipation vents running across the back to help with blade heat management. The inner emitter sports a tri-flanged unit with a main central port surrounded by micro jets to help with blade centering and ignition.

Switch assembly - This ignition switch is built for one purpose. The fastest blade deployment you can get your hands on. A super short tactile slider that terminates in a bullseye igniter button. Short travel distance insures a lighting fast action. The back of the unit sports three thermal ports to help with cooling the inner components.

Couplers - Antique copper and gold center plates decorate these vintage style spacers. They give a feeling of elegance while also adding a grippy traction to the sides.

Main Grip- 8th generation geometric carved copper. Perfect tactile control down the center line while smoother broad scales down the sides allow for more flowing movements. A complex series of scales to match a complex fighting style.

Pommel - Ultra light, minimal and hiding a deadly secret- a second stabilization unit. This allows the hilt to defy the laws of physics and combat. Screened thermal porting on the bottom to aid with heat disputation.

OPTIONS - This hilt is available in two forms.

Raw Resin Kit - fresh out of the print vat, will need a small amount of sanding(the beauty of resin printing vs pla, incredibly smooth surfaces right off the printer and super easy to sand. I will give it a once over and remove any small support burns or uneven surfaces so you’re all ready to prime and paint.

Turn Around Time - Parts are printed per order and average print time per hilt is 12 to 16 hours. Should ship within 7-10 days of order.

Premiere Display - This piece will be given my utmost level of attention and detail, sanded, primed and painted. It will come with a certificate of authenticity card which will include the Soupcan13 badge of quality as well as my signature and will include its run number(I plan on doing a total of 200 in this run). My painting process includes, all parts deburred and sanded, priming, airbrushing the base coat, applying color coats, masking and applying secondary detail colors, detail painting, black wash/corrosion wash and finally 3 coats of high quality clear coat to protect from chips, scratches and prevent paint from wearing due to handling.

Turn Around Time - Parts are painted per order and average paint time per hilt is 6 to 8 hours. Should ship within 15-18 days of order.
