Sabers/blasters

Tiny but Mighty

Tiny but Mighty

from $55.00

I had a ton of fun working on this one. It’s based off a 2d drawing that Reddit user u/scaryisGood posted online.(by far the high point of the project was having him comment that he liked in on reddit when I posted the renders) I added my twists and details to the design and came up with a crystal storage area and magnetic pin system to hold the outer assembly on as well as the magnetic knob on the bottom.

I scaled up the hand controls on my version, I like to think it’s kind of like a toddlers toy, everything is always simplified and exaggerated.

FYI - The examples of the crystal glowing are powered by a separate flashlight. I designed the back of the crystal area to make it easy to shine a light through it. Anything from a bike light to a cell phone can illuminate the crystal. No electronics are included with the hilt.

CONSTRUCTION/CUSTOMIZATION

This saber kind of bucks the trend for my normal designs. It’s 100% resin with the exception of the magnets.

WEIGHT = 5 oz

LENGTH = 6 inches

WIDTH = 1.5” inches at grip 2” at the switch

FYI/CYA DISCLAIMER

The following is a fictional break down of the physical features of the hilt. These are the features I envisioned while I was designing it. Sadly the hilt will not actually produce a cutting blade and is made of resin, not metal.)

THE GOODS

Emitter/Shield- Very reminiscent of Obi and Lukes emitter, a combo blade port/emitter design. A very unique tri split main port surrounded by smaller exhaust jets and a ring of outer stabilization ports.

Switch Assembly - Big and chunky, a single large easy to hit button. A golden Mudhorn is engraved in the side and a set pin holds the body of the saber together.

Couplers- none

Main Grip- This hilt is so short and stubby the main grip is basically the switch unit, there is a small extension below the switch. By pulling the back pin there is a hidden surprise. A stunning view of the inner crystal harness system and inner blade core creation drive.

Pommel - A little nod to Mando and the Razorcrest, the surviving knob rides on a quick detach magnet system. Easy off but sturdily attached to the hilt.

OPTIONS - This hilt is available in two forms.

Raw Resin Kit - fresh out of the print vat, will need a small amount of sanding(the beauty of resin printing vs pla, incredibly smooth surfaces right off the printer and super easy to sand. I will give it a once-over and remove any small support burns or uneven surfaces so you’re all ready to prime and paint.

Turn around time - Parts are printed per order and average print time per hilt is 12 to 16 hours. Should ship within 7-10 days of order.

OR!

Premiere Display - This piece will be given my utmost level of attention and detail, sanded, primed and painted. It will come with a certificate of authenticity card which will include the Soupcan13 badge of quality as well as my signature and will include its run number(I plan on doing a total of 200 in this run). My painting process includes, all parts deburred and sanded, priming, airbrushing the base coat, applying color coats, masking and applying secondary detail colors, detail painting, black wash/corrosion wash and finally 3 coats of high quality clear coat to protect from chips, scratches and prevent paint from wearing due to handling.

Turn around time - Parts are painted per order and average paint time per hilt is 6 to 8 hours. Should ship within 15-18 days of order.
