Over the last couple years I’ve gotten a ton or requests for a “visually realistic” Pokeball and after about 5 reversions it’s finally done.

I wanted it to feel like it had the mechanical guts to be believable but retain the sleek smoothness of the original design. I also wanted the feeling of a beaten down, battle tested work horse. Years and years of being banged around and abused but still in the fight.

The main unit consists of 3 parts, the upper shell, lower cell and a magnetic hinge component that connects the two sides so they can be displayed in either open or closed forms. The 4th component is a stand that the Pokeball rests in. In closed form it rests solidly in the divot in the base(I set it up so the top and bottom shell’s magnets not only work with the hing but also connect to each other to keep them connected in closed mode). In open mode the elevated shelf matches up perfectly with the lip of the upper lid, holding it in open position. The stand also comes with 4 rubber feet to protect the paint on the bottom as well as keep it from sliding around.

I’m offering this item in two forms.

#1 completely painted by yours truly. I sand, primer and airbrush/hand brush the entire piece and then complete it with a clear coat process.

#2 raw resin form. All 4 components have had the supports removed and I will lightly sand down all pieces so they are ready for painting. Magnets and rubber feet are included. A blank canvas ready for your creative skills.

The Pokeball is completely made out of high quality printed resin and weighs in at 7 ounces when assembled. It measures 140mm high x 140 long x 97 wide when open.
